motherjones: We’re not trying to pick on CNN here, but: Seriously? To tell you the truth, it kind of does make sense to me? As a long-living resident of the area, knowing the shooting wasn’t related to terrorism—domestic or otherwise—but was “just” a regular NYC homicide that just happened to take place outside the ESB kind of makes me feel better, purely on a personal safety level. This doesn’t negate the fact that people are still dead, and that’s horrible, but I don’t think it’s an irrational thing to ask.
